TRW

TRW’s history dates back to 1904. In that year, the company produced its first two-component automotive valve for the Winton Motors Company. In 1908, it manufactured wooden wheels for the legendary Ford Model T, and twenty years later it developed durable brake pads. In 1939, TRW introduced hydraulic brake systems as standard equipment, and in 1952 it produced an integrated power steering system for the Chrysler New Yorker.

In 1994, TRW Automotive acquired the well-known British spare parts manufacturer Lucas, and in 1998 it acquired the Spanish company Remsa, a producer of brake pads and discs. Today, the TRW brand belongs to Germany’s ZF Group. The Group’s portfolio also includes the brands Sachs, Boge, Lemförder, and Wabco.

TRW’s catalogue includes the following product ranges:

  • brake systems (discs, pads, cylinders, cables, calipers),
  • steering racks and power steering pumps,
  • engine and electrical components,
  • friction materials (including oils and brake fluids for supporting components),
  • suspension components (shock absorbers, control arms, silent blocks, steering tie rods and tie rod ends),
  • as well as other spare parts.

Product quality fully complies with international manufacturing and management standards and is certified by ISO 9001, IATF, ISO 9002, and SGS certificates.
