The long-established MOTUL company is widely recognised as a reputable manufacturer of premium-quality, high-performance oils. Its history dates back to 1853 and continues successfully into its 160th year. For many years, MOTUL focused on the development, formulation, and sale of lubricants. The company manufactures a wide range of products for cars, motorcycles, scooters, quad bikes, marine equipment, garden machinery, and other technical applications. All products are produced in the town of Aberville, located near Paris.

The company is a technical partner to racing teams and manufactures high-quality factory-fill oils for a number of automotive and motorcycle brands such as Yamaha, Honda, Aston Martin, Suzuki, Subaru, and others. It is also the global oil partner of the Brabus tuning studio.

MOTUL’s strong presence at the highest level of motorsport (MotoGP, Road Racing, Trial, Enduro, Endurance, Superbike, Supercross, Rallycross, the World Rally Championship, FIA GT, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Spa, the Le Mans Series, rally raid, Paris–Dakar, Formula 3, and others) reflects the company’s advanced technological capability in developing top-quality oils for demanding racing environments.

MOTUL is a pioneer of innovation. Its milestones include MOTUL Century (the first all-season motor oil in Europe, 1953), MOTUL 2100 (the world’s first semi-synthetic motor oil, 1966), MOTUL Century 300V (the world’s first 100% synthetic motor oil, 1971), MOTUL Century 300 2T (the world’s first 100% synthetic oil for two-stroke engines, 1972), MOTUL Turboil (the first oil for turbo engines, 1983), MOTUL Bio 2T (the first 100% biodegradable synthetic oil, 1991), MOTUL 300V (the world’s first 100% synthetic oil for engines based on complex esters, 1992), and others.
